Phototherapy is an Option to Help Heal Your Psoriasis

Phototherapy is a wonderful option to help heal Psoriasis for many patients. Phototherapy, in most cases these days, exposes the body to UVB light. UVB light exposure is the most effective for most Psoriasis patients in slowing down the Psoriasis process.

Many Psoriasis patients go to the dermatologist office one to three times per week for phototherapy treatment. To look into this option, you may or not find your dermatologist offers this treatment. If they don't, they can probably refer you to a nearby office or hospital that does offer phototherepy.

I personally use a combination of office phototherapy and home phototherapy for my Psoriasis. I like phototherapy at the dermatologist office since nurses there are experts on maintaining my skin. I like home phototherapy as it is fast and easy. The home phototherapy unit I purchased from Daavlin (Read more about phototherapy and units at Daavlin.net) is well built and was mostly covered by insurance. You can contact Daavlin here to find out if you can get a home phototherapy unit covered by insurance.
