Eczema
This is a disorder of the skin which causes itching. Red scales are formed. Its causes are unknown. It may affect any part of the body. Normally occurs on the face, elbows, arms and knees. It could affect for short duration (called acute) or longer duration (called chronic). It is also termed as Contact Dermatitis.
Lupus
An autoimmune disease causes this chronic inflammatory condition called Lupus.
It occurs when the immune system attacks our own body tissues. Some unusual antibodies in the blood target own body tissues. Skin rashes, pain and swelling of the joints and inflammation of the kidneys are common symptoms. It may even cause inflammation of fibrous tissue which surrounds the heart. This disease is also known as systematic Lupus erythematosus. Patients need not display all the symptoms.
Lichen Planus
This is a skin disorder which causes skin inflammation. It may cause itching, purple or pink spots on the legs and arms.
Fungal Infection
A fungi known as dermatophytes causes this inflammatory disease. Scaling and patches on the skin are its symptoms.
Intertrigo
This inflammatory disease occurs due to rubbing of skin in heat and moist conditions. Found when layers of skin come in contact with each other and rub. It can occur under breasts or armpits or buttocks.
