Scalp Psoriasis
Scalp psoriasis is the same as the psoriasis that would affect any other part of the body. Red lesions are caused by skin cells dividing to rapidly. These lesions are often dry, itchy, and scaly. The classification of scalp psoriasis ranges from being very mild to being very severe. In extreme cases, excessive flaking from severe scales will cause hair loss.
Unfortunately for those affected by this disease, it is incurable. But there is no need to despair over the physical effects of psoriasis because there are many ways to handle and to live with this disease.
